Richard Bram
"Last Man Shooting"
Opening: June 21st, 2009; 1:00-4:00 pm
Richard will be at the opening.

After a 10 year absence from the U.S., street photographer Richard Bram has come back home to the states and we are thrilled to be able to exhibit his work here at Galerie Hertz. Richard Bram: Last Man Shooting is so named since Richard was the last person to live and work in the West Main Street Building which housed Louisville’s Center for Photographic Studies in the 70’s. Since that time, Bram has earned international acclaim in his profession.

His work is included in such prestigious collections as the Bibliotheque national de France in Paris, the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography in Rochester, New York, and the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington D.C., to name a few. Some highlights of his power-house resume during the last decade are solo exhibitions at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland, the Tate St. Ives in Cornwall, England, Galerie Kasten in Mannheim, Germany, the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, #54 The Gallery in London, England, and two solo exhibitions in Oaxaca, Mexico where he was the only non-Hispanic artist to ever be invited to exhibit. A small sampling of his group exhibitions are in Moscow at the OST Gallery, in Paris at Charlet Photographies, and in Italy at the Museo del Tulle. Richard’s full resume is available at Gallery Hertz.
